Since undocumented migrants generally have low rates of service usage, however
this chilling effect has affected documented more than undocumented migrants. From
1987 to 1992, for instance, 60 percent of legal immigrants surveyed by the Mexican
Migration Project used a hospital but between 1997 and 2002 the share hadfallen to 42
percent. Over the same period the percentage with children in U.S. schoolsfell from 35
percent to 19 percent, and food stamp usage dropped from 15 percent to 5percent.
Welfare usage remained roughly constant at 8 percent to 10 percent. Tax payments,
meanwhile, rose from the already high level of 90 percent to reach 95 percent between
1997 and 2002 (Massey).
This comes to show that most of these people are more likely to contribute than to take away from this country. Furthermore, it is also suggested that by the research that legalizing the 12 million of undocumented immigrants would rescue social security. Also, undocumented immigrants would save money on taxpayers because they will be able to access services like in hospitals, where most of the time undocumented people have to pay full price to see a primary physician. This would translate in to savings to the taxpayers (Pawlick and Finley). All this research also shows that today we are in the same plate economically, illegal or not illegal. Immigrants shouldnt get blame as free loaders. Perhaps Goverment,American Corporation and greed should be the blame.

The History of the United States is a reminder that this country was formed by immigrants who wanted a better future. They came and still come from every part of the world with the desire to succeed. Today there are 12 million illegal immigrants living in the United States (Pawlick and Finley). Both the Bush and Obama administrations haven't been able to come up with an agreement on how to deal with these people who are in this situation . One thing is certain; the future of this Nation will need immigrants. As population grows and baby boomers begin to retire, the immigrants will make a difference in the labor force of the United States. It is estimated that in 20 years immigrants will be the majority of the labor force of the US . Furthermore , in the next four decades immigrants will make up 60 percent of the population growth in the US (Pawlick and Finley). The growth of a population is an key factor for the economy of this and any nation.

Fortunately for the illegal immigrants, they have the same rights as we all do because of the US Constitution. Most American people believe because the immigrants are illegal they don't pay taxes. Furthermore, most American believe illegal immigrants are wasting the economic resources of this country. On Tuesday February the second, I had the chance hold an interview with a person in in charge of Caval Tax Services. During the interview, Ana Caval explained to me how much the businesses has been expanded during the last 10 years or so. Ana also explained that not only legal residents or citizens of this country do the tax services on her business, but also the so-called "Illegals". Anybody today can do taxes. Illegal immigrants can get a number, an Individual Taxpayer Identification number or (Itin). This works if the person doesn't have a real social security number. This Itin number is a real form which is authorized by the US Government. After receiving the application from the undocumented person, Uncle Sam will send the Itin number so the taxes can be done. This comes to show us that people are also paying their taxes as well as doing the income return. Ana also explained that staring this year the people with Itin numbers won't be able to get a return of money when declaring rent or property taxes. This last information, makes one think that all that money goes straight to the pockets of the state government.

Who is Hurt?
Illegal immigration to the United States refers to the act of foreign nationals violating U.S. immigration policies and national laws by entering or remaining in the United States without proper permission from the United States government. Illegal immigrates make up about 12.5 million people in the United States.
Illegal immigration is a crime first of all, and it damages the likelihood of legal immigrants to find jobs, and makes the poor even poorer. We cannot provide high quality education, health care, and retirement security for our own people if we continue to bring in endless numbers of poor, unskilled immigrants. I am not trying to say immigration is a bad thing. I am a legal immigrant myself, but I would be mad that someone chooses an unskilled illegal immigrant a position over me, because the wages are lower for him or her.
Security its important as well.
Second, in 1996 the 287 g law became effecttive. This law gives the police officers the ability to work as an immigration agent. Since then, States like North Carolina has been deporting illegal immigrants just because they cant show a driver license (Policias). I just think this really doesnt help either security of this nation or immigrants. Policy to legalize the illegal immigrants should be a priotity for the government, so the laws could be aim to real treats and to fight the real terrorist. In a recent interviewed the police agencies from North Carolina decided to give their full support for legizlation that would legalize the undocumented immigrants, by doing this the think community would be safer and the agencies would be able to go full force against the real criminals and terrorist(Policias). Philosopher Binswanger quotes " The desire of freedom and economic supply and demand are the driving forces behind immigration" ( Pawlick and Finley).

America Security
America was started on the mentality of if you work hard you can achieve anything (A.K.A. the "American Dream"). It's been said that everyone wants to come to America because of the opportunities and options. One thing to break down the "American Dream" are those that don't follow the rule to achieve this dream. This country should build up its recourse's (American citizens) to make the economy a better place to live and so it stays a free and prosperous country for those to escape persecution and find freedom. The states do not fully understand that aspect because in some states there are social programs to grant money and financial aid, paid for by the tax payers, to illegal aliens. Illegal immigrants can receive lower tuition rates at certain public schools in such states as Texas, California and New York which makes you wonder why not lower rates for those who are in the country legally and for those who pay the most taxes. (Patrick Mcgee, Fort Worth Star-telegram) How can the government spend all this money on illegal aliens and know that very few of them will gain citizenship and pay taxes to refuel the economy.
Another major issue to destroy the American dream and the safety of this great nation is the gangs and mobs that bring in illegals, illegal drugs, and cause crimes. Right now, Phoenix is the kidnapping capital of the world! That is thanks to the Cartel Mexican mob. Jon Kly Arizona Senator talked about the issues that the United States face with this Mexican drug Cartel. "Federal authorities arrested 750 people, and seized more than $59 million in cash, substantial amount of marijuana, cocaine, Ecstasy, and other drugs, nearly 150 vehicles, as well as aircraft and ships used by the cartel." (Jon Kly) Granted the law enforcement has started to hire more people to combat this mob but it does not make the USA safe at all. It's a hard struggle and this gang brings in drugs and crime all across America. We need to protect our boarders and our American Citizens, and by doing so we need to make sure Americans get jobs and education and we stop illegal boarder crossing to protect the safety and integrity of this great country.

The future
Complex but simple
Back in the early industrial era, the United States built up the image of the melting pot, where people of all nationalities could come and build a better life. That image is coming back to bite us now that we're in a recession and don't need the extra labor, so much as we need less people to exist here. There's no easy solution, but in theory it's really simple. It's the cause of possibly all problems, ever: Too many people. Not enough stuff.
Any solution will have to either involve generating more stuff or less people. If it doesn't do one of these two things, it's not a real solution. But how can that happen without infringing on anyone's rights?
